The new impact creative team will consist of Konnan, Tommy Dreamer & Raven.
These three ECW veterans all come from a hardcore background replacing Abyss and Sonjay Dutt who are expected to head to the WWE.
With the creative direction of the company, and their expertise in more aggressive storytelling this could perhaps a lean towards a PG-14 product delivering an edgier show and promotion.
This might be a smart move considering ROH, NJPW & AEW all have more freedom with their writers.
Having Impact follow them all in a creative direction, It might create more of a interest around the languishing promotion, giving die-hard fans the content that internet chatrooms are full of discussion about and possibly enticing a buzz that attracts new fans to the promotion and excitement in the roster such as OVE, LAX and Impact Champion Johnny Impact among others and hopefully reducing a talent exodus as Impact's contracts expire and preventing WWE, ROH, MLW and AEW from swooping in to sign off-contract Impact Stars.
Impact Wrestling’s big man Brian Cage is expected to be a huge free agent signing that all the big promotions will want once his current contract ends. And should Impact's new creative team provide that spark to revitalise Impact, one would expect that he and others would continue wrestling at Impact.
