WWE might have to worry about AEW sooner than they thought. Previously, the company banned All Elite Wrestling shirts from the Royal Rumble and made fans hide the AEW logos on clothing during Axxess.
Now the company has reportedly offered a “big time WWE Superstar” a huge deal. Unfortunately due to legal reasons he can’t be named yet until his WWE contract is expired.
Wrestle Votes reports that the first shots have been fired in this pro wrestling war. Cody Rhodes said that he doesn’t want a war with WWE, he just wants AEW to be an alternative. However, they need top-level talents to draw the interest.
“Seems like the first real shot has been fired… source says AEW has made an ‘outstanding’ offer to a current, big time WWE superstar. An offer that is almost too good to turn down. Things are really about to get interesting.”
He didn’t reveal the name of this targeted WWE Superstar, but AEW is obviously going hard after WWE Superstars as we previously reported. There are a few people that we can think of that AEW might like to have in their company.
We will keep you posted as soon as we hear anything else in this developing story.
