Andrade is a former NXT Champion and had a great run under a mask as La Sombra until losing in a mask vs mask match. The 29-year-old has a lot going for him from his skills in the ring to his likable personality.
However, WWE is currently booking Andrade as a heel is still an ongoing thing for the mexican superstar.
Dave Meltzer noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that WWE most likely has babyface intentions for Andrade. If he were given that role, Andrade could find a lot of success and hopefully, that is WWE’s plan.
“When he turns babyface he’ll get his chance I think. I mean he’s not, I don’t necessarily think that his strength is… he’s okay as a heel. I think that the long-run is that they want him as a babyface.”
WWE needs powerful babyfaces that can connect with audiences. If given the chance, Andrade could become a big WWE Superstar in not only the Latin American market, but also for anyone else who appreciates a little bit of Tranquilo. We will just have to wait and see how Zelina Vega fits into a possible babyface move if WWE goes that direction.
