AEW is still paving their way in the pro wrestling world and that could include introducing some new titles.
The Chris Jericho Cruise is going on right now. Kenny Omega had a chance to grab the microphone during the night when he addressed the fact that there are so many great factions in All Elite Wrestling.
The Cleaner teased that he has a bit of power in AEW before saying that he wishes there was a way to determine the best trio in the company.
“Lately it’s been a topic of conversation of who is the best trio. To me, and I don’t wanna spoil anything, I only have a small bit of power in AEW. I’d love for us to see somewhere down the line a way for us to determine just who is the best six-man team in all of AEW.”
“Hey, you guys know where I come from. We decide these things in tournaments. It could be fun.”
The crowd was all about introducing some new titles for six man tag team matches. This is definitely an option down the line, but it seems like trios titles are on Kenny Omega’s things to do list.
CM Punk has not signed any kind of deal with WWE that we have heard of. He only has a deal with Fox to appear on WWE Backstage. That won’t stop CM Punk from teasing a little bit.
Fans might not see CM Punk in Houston at the Royal Rumble, but some are still hoping for a Second City Savior return. He is still rather high on the betting odds list of possible Royal Rumble winners.
The WWE On Fox Twitter account asked who’s making a surprise appearance at the Royal Rumble this year. CM Punk replied back with a “fingers crossed” emoji and a picture of Savio Vega’s “Kwang” persona.
Punk was obviously having some fun with this post. Chiming into a conversation with this subject matter has caused fans to start speculating once again.
Things were really kicked up a notch when WWE On Fox replied back with a picture of CM Punk from when he invaded that indie show for a quick GTS. CM Punk is still not admitting that was him. (It was him.)
Bullying is getting a spotlight in the pro wrestling business once again. Tessa Blanchard’s situation has caused a lot of fans to pay attention to this subject that was previously assumed to be a part of any backstage atmosphere.
Ribbing and pro wrestling go hand-in-hand much like WWE is associated with Vince McMahon. Apparently, The Chairman is not immune to teasing his own employees and independent contractors.
Former WWE writer Jensen Karp recently appeared on Swing & Mrs. He told a very interesting story about how Vince McMahon deals with people who fall asleep on his private plane. He throws nuts at them. This was apparently the kind of bullying that kept Karp on his toes.
Jensen Karp quoted on Swing & Mrs “And I don’t know if this is my fault, I don’t think it is… But the first few times I would go on the private plane, I would see Vince throw almonds at people who fell asleep,” Karp revealed. “And Vince was very nice to me so I shouldn’t have put together that almonds were going to hit me at some point, although they probably would have. He was sweet to me, but at the same time I was so nervous to have almonds thrown at me or any bullying because I wasn’t a bully. I was the opposite; I was being bullied. So I was so nervous to be on that plane that I never fell asleep on it.”
Vince McMahon famously said that his favorite thing is the look on someone’s face right before they get thrown in a pool with all of their clothes on. His sadistic humor is legendary and as time goes on perhaps we’ll find out a few more specific things that Vince McMahon gets a kick out of doing to others around him.
The New Day have battled many opponents in the five plus years they’ve been together. There are still dream rivals for The New Day and a few of them aren’t even in WWE. That makes things difficult.
During The New Day: Feel The Power, Xavier Woods brought up one dream match of his that will probably never happen at this point. The New Day and The Elite have not went to war in the ring, but it did happen in the video game world. This is something Woods would love to change.
The New Day was quoted on Feel The Power “Obviously as a group we haven’t gone up against the Undisputed Era, so I would love that, but one that is more of a fantasy and probably won’t happen — I hope it does at some point — would be going up against [deep breath] The Elite, specifically Kenny and The Bucks.”
“So, essentially we had a taste of that. We had a Street Fighter competition at E3. We were bringing wrestling worlds together. We were having companies collide and showing them that everyone could just have a good time. Wrestling should just be wrestling for the sake of people’s entertainment because that’s what we’re doing. That’s what this is all about.”
“It would entertain the absolute hell out of me to be able to wrestle those boys.”
The New Day just inked new five-year deals with WWE. Since The Elite are all Executive Vice Presidents of AEW it makes a possible match seemingly impossible to imagine. You can never say never in pro wrestling because there would certainly be a lot of money to be had in that six-man tag team match.
Artem Chigvintsev and Nikki Bella are set to be married. No date has been announced yet, but they are happy enjoying this portion of their relationship.
Chigvintsev recently sat down with Lilian Garcia on Chasing Glory where he opened up about his relationship with the Bella Twin.
The two met while on Dancing With The Stars together. Artem explained that her passion to continue working so hard to perfect her dancing abilities really impressed him. They became close and he appreciated her as a friend and someone who can understand his busy life.
“Obviously, when you’re on a show I kid you not there are no days off. You’re trying to find time to rehearse at any point in the day simply because you’re under so much pressure to do better next week because it’s kinda — this is what you strive for. This is what you’re here to do.”
“I love that side of her. To me that was like, admirable in a sense because I felt like I haven’t had that in a very, very long time. She’s like SpongeBob cause she’s like, ‘No I wanna learn this, I wanna learn that.’ I was like, ‘Oh my god, this is amazing.'”
“So knowing that side of her it kind of like made me understand who she is as a person. You know and I think that’s where I was like, ‘Wow, she’s really cool.’ Like she’s an awesome person to have as a friend, you know. That’s where it really started because after the show ended I went on a tour. Then it was at one of those farmers’ markets, it was like Christmas time and I was like, ‘Hey I’m gonna be in town do you want to hang out? Do you want to grab a coffee?'”
That one coffee at a farmers’ market turned into a lot more. We’ll probably see much more of those two as time goes on, especially when Total Bellas returns for season five.
AEW will be around for at least four more years. That stability could also play a factor in their continued rise as fans know that AEW Dynamite is going to be on TNT for even longer.
While speaking to Busted Open Radio, Cody Rhodes revealed when AEW had the first indications that WarnerMedia was going to extend their deal. This took place far sooner than expected which should also be comforting for fans.
Cody was quoted on Busted Open Radio “We in the last week had some indication that perhaps an extension was something that we were going to talk about sooner than we anticipated to talk about. The thing that, I think it is a really a pat on the back not to the AEW crew as much — and I don’t mean to be pandering in anyway. But the fandom, one thing that the fandom really likes is to know, ‘Hey, they’re not going anywhere.’”
All Elite Wrestling has experienced success in 2020. They defeated WWE NXT in the ratings each week so far and their momentum doesn’t seem to be fading. Now that WarnerMedia has shown even more dedication in the young pro wrestling company it means that All Elite Wrestling will continue until at least 2023.
Ricochet has received praise from all over since breaking out in WWE. The Rock even commented on how The One And Only is the future of the business. That being said, The Rock probably wouldn’t mind if Ricochet borrows one of his moves.
The People’s Elbow is exclusive to The Rock. Ricochet has his own version of this iconic wrestling move and he’s done it before. This move hasn’t been tested on television yet, but Ricochet stated that he’s just waiting for his opportunity.
Waiting for the right time to bring it out.
Ricochet is very exciting to watch in the ring and you never know what he will do next. It looks like he could break out one of The Great One’s signature moves when the time is right.
WWE is always looking to add talented people to their Performance Center. It seems like they want to have Shannon Moore come back.
Moore has been a guest coach at the WWE PC in the past. He’s going through a great time in his career as he recently celebrated a big anniversary in his sobriety.
Canadian Wrestling Elite had Moore booked on an event, but they were informed that WWE needs him. It is said that he will report to the WWE Performance Center on January 27th.
Canadian Wrestling Elite said on Facebook “”It is with much disappointment Canadian Wrestling’s Elite has to announce that unfortunately due to a contractual obligation to World Wrestling Entertainment that will now require his presence to attend “The Prince Of Punk” Shannon Moore will be unable to attend A Higher Impact Tour and will be rescheduled with CWE for a future set of dates.
After the booking and travel of Mr. Moore’s appearance with CWE was finalized, Moore who is a part time guest trainer and producer for WWE/NXT was informed he would need to report to the WWE Performance Center on Monday, January 27th at 9am in Orlando. Unfortunately after exhausting every travel option there simply was not one that would return Moore in time without having to completely miss the Regina, SK event on January 26th and the seminar he is hosting.
With it not being a viable option to do a drastic flight change from where Moore was flying home from for where the tour would be at the time of his departure and either needing to bring in a separate headline attraction for Regina or not have one at all on top of it, management and Moore decided the best option for CWE, himself, and the fans would be to reschedule his appearance all together.
CWE would like to thank Shannon Moore for his professionalism and cooperation to ensure the last minute wrench in the plans would not be of a huge financial detriment & burden to the company and fans expecting to see him will still have an opportunity to do so on a future tour”.
We’ll have to see if Shannon Moore gets a full-time coaching position at the WWE Performance Center. The fact that they’re having him back is certainly a good sign in that direction.
WWE has added another Superstar to their NXT UK brand. During the last set of television tapings, Aoife Valkyrie worked a match and then they re-recorded that contest on the second night of tapings.
Fight Factory Pro Wrestling sent out a special note to Valkyrie where they congratulated him for this big opportunity for his career.
WWE has added another Superstar to their NXT UK brand. During the last set of television tapings, Aoife Valkyrie worked a match and then they re-recorded that contest on the second night of tapings.
Fight Factory Pro Wrestling Tweeted “Congratulations from everyone at FFPW to our former Irish Junior Heavyweight Champion @Real_Valkyrie on officially signing with WWE and becoming an NXT UK superstar!”
We’ll have to see what’s next for Aoife Valkyrie in WWE. The company obviously wants to keep him around as they inked a deal with him. NXT UK will air on BT Sport as part of their new agreement so that will mean even more exposure for WWE’s United Kingdom brand.
RVD let his personal life go on Impact Wrestling’s television show and it was too hot for Twitch. The Whole F’n Show’s little three-way celebration got the company banned from the popular streaming site.
Twitch doesn’t talk about accounts they ban, but they do have a very strict policy on adult content. They don’t want porn on Twitch and apparently, RVD’s Impact Wrestling segment was deemed too offensive.
Now RVD is taking a question to the people. He wants to know if they’d be interested in owning some merchandise to celebrate Impact Wrestling’s sudden departure from Twitch.
RVD Tweeted out “”New T-shirt idea-
“Rob Ban Dam”
Yeah or nah?”
This might be a clever idea. Since Impact Wrestling lost their Twitch affiliate status then they might as well make a few merch dollars off the ordeal.
Chris Jericho did a lot of things before coming to AEW, but he was never in a stable. He’s been involved with tag teams, but the Inner Circle was the first time that he’s had a faction around him.
Jim Varsallone recently had a chance to speak with Chris Jericho. Le Champion of AEW explained why he is in the Inner Circle. It makes sense at this stage of his career. There was a time when WCW pitched for him to join the nWo, but there was no reason for that. Now the Inner Circle has a purpose.
Chris Jericho was quoted when talking to Jim Varsallone “Yeah, it’s the first time I’m leading a stable and it’s also the first time I’ve been kind of the top guy-well, in New Japan, I was the top, top guy,” Jericho recalled. “I call myself the George Harrison of the Attitude Era. What I mean by that is, George Harrison is one of the greatest songwriters of all time. The problem is, he’s in a band with John Lennon and Paul McCartney, the two greatest, ever. I was a babyface in the Attitude Era. I was huge and super popular, but I was a babyface along with The Rock and “Stone Cold” Steve Austin. So, I would never be the top guy there. I could be the top heel, which I was for many years, but here it’s more about what Chris Jericho is doing for AEW to continue to get this company on the map to get it to grow.”
“It’s also the first time I’ve ever been in a faction. There’s a reason for that, I don’t play well with others. I never really wanted that. I remember back in ’98, one of the suggestions was for me to be in nWo and I was like absolutely not. There’s 15 guys in the nWo. They don’t need me and I don’t need them. For the Inner Circle, it enhances my character, our storylines, and gave five very talented individuals a much bigger platform and got them over to a much bigger degree as well.”
Chris Jericho is intelligent enough to know that everything has its perfect time and place. It wouldn’t have been as effective if a younger Chris Jericho was in a stable because he was a loner who did his own thing. Now he has people around him as he continues as a heel champion in AEW which seems to work out very well.
Tessa Blanchard tweeted someone out about women supporting women on the day before she won the Impact World Title. This was met with a slew of allegations coming her way.
Sienna was the first to fire back at Tessa. She told a story about how Blanchard called La Rosa Negra the N-Word before spitting in her face. This was later confirmed by Rosa that it did take place during a 2017 tour in Japan.
Now Sienna, who used to work as Allysin Kay in Impact Wrestling, revealed that she was alerted that Tessa Blanchard is trying to get even with her. Apparently, the Impact World Champion has been spending some time trying to dig up dirt on Sienna.
I said what I had to say so I’d love to move on, but I just got several msgs about @Tess_Blanchard trying to spread lies.
Unfortunately for you, I’ve built my 11-yr reputation on being respectful. Instead of owning up to your mistakes, you lie, scheme & prove you haven’t changed
This is one reason people don’t speak up. It’s also one of the reasons I felt I needed to be the one to do so. I have a thick skin, there’s no dirt on me, I have a large platform & amt of colleagues who vouch for me. I’ll gladly absorb this frontline of idiocy to shield my friend.
Konnan didn’t have the best conversation with Psicosis II outside of the Impact Wrestling television taping in Mexico City. He got slapped around a bit, but there was a reason for that.
Psicosis recently spoke to President XL and he explained the entire situation. He didn’t mean to cause a bunch of controversy. Psicosis also explained his current working agreement with AAA. In an interview translated from Spanish, Psicosis II said:
Psicosis was quoted on President XL “I think what happened yesterday (slapping konnan) caused a lot of controversy. That was not my intention. You know me, I am someone that is calm but if you come looking for trouble. You will find it. This was something I explained to Konnan. So when someone upsets me past my limit, I have to confront them. That’s what happened. It was merely personal reasons that caused that reaction.”
“I am still working for AAA. He is still part of AAA. Even though I get little work from them. Mostly with a few regional promoters. Not on TV. My situation is due to a variety of reasons but that’s not my problem or what caused yesterday’s actions to happen. It was personal.”
“What it is, is that Nicho is a very good friend of his and he (Konnan) boasts that he’s the only Psicosis. That he can do what he pleases and take the character to all these shows and promoters. Konnan told me to fix it however I could. I warned him in October about it.”
“I could not see him until now that I had a show that day.”
When he was asked what he told Konnan, he explained their interaction. He went with friends because he claims to know what kind of person Konnan can be, whatever that might imply.
“Yesterday I went with 2 friends. I know what kind of person he (Konnan) is. So I had someone record our interaction. This way I have proof of what went down. This day that video has been useful because I received a call of complaint that I pushed the woman that came to my side during this and I never pushed her. I only moved her out of path.”
“I’m here. I told you I was going to fix this face to face. What do you have to say?”
Psicosis revealed that Konnan said he had no idea what he was talking about. So, he slapped him. He went on to explain that he wanted Konnan to fight him and put actions behind his words.
“I am 52. He is 52. He is not an old man.” If he’s in his current state from all the vices he par-takes in. That’s not my problem.“
“If I was a bad greedy person I would have killed him with blows. But I’m not like that. I’m not going to hurt someone that didn’t even defend themselves. Psicosis demands Konnan does not sell Nicho to other promoters as Psicosis. Or take bookings for Nicho as that character.”
The interviewer on President XL said that he has heard how Konnan mistreats people. He said that Konnan is easily provoked to anger and he accused him of being physically abusive at times as well.
I have warned Dorian. Konnan is fantastic at managing a TV production, the wrestlers and the locker room.”
It doesn’t sound like Psicosis II is leaving AAA, but there might be some bad stories floating around about Konnan coming out of this situation.
WWE has the ability to pump out a line of merchandise for one event. That ability to market their Superstars puts them in a great advantage. A new t-shirt could provide a hint that one NXT tag team might be sticking around.
Pete Dunne and Matt Riddle joined forces for the 2020 Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic. The Broserweights are now a team and on their way to the next round of the tournament after a win this week.
WWE has released a mash-up t-shirt for the Broserweights. It’s a pretty nice design as the Bruiserweight and Original Bro’s logos are merged together.
This could be a sign that Riddle and Dunne’s partnership is just beginning.
Charlotte Flair had an impressive 2019 when it came to title wins. She didn’t have the best win/loss record.
While speaking to Sportskeeda, Charlotte Flair discussed the fact that she has the highest losing record in all of WWE. She sees this as a positive as it means she is always ready to work and can consistently work.
“Ok, are you ready for a promo? Here is my exclusive promo. If you look at my stats, I have the highest losing record out of anyone on the roster,” Charlotte noted. “I think a detriment to me, which is also a positive, is that I am consistent. I am consistent. I am never hurt and I am always here.”
“It’s almost like, yes that is awesome, but at the same time I’ve never had the opportunity for the fans to miss me because I’m always here. That’s what people forget. Yes, I won a match this week and they’re like, ‘Oh she wins [all the time].’ But that’s not been the case. Actually, I’ve lost more matches than any female booked currently. It’s crazy.”
“I think with the stigma of the [Flair] name always being in the title picture… but like I said, I’m consistent and a workaholic. It’s a good thing but it’s a bad thing.”
According to Cagematch Charlotte Flair has a 55.7% winning record out of 853 recorded matches. She racked up a 42.6% loss rate and 1.8% matches ending in draw. Those are career statistics, but she certainly put over her fair share of opponents.
Adam Cole and Kenny Omega might be friends, but they are two very different people.
One fan tweeted out to Kenny Omega saying that he is a huge fan. This was followed by him saying that “Adam Cole is far better in regards to promo work.”
This prompted a response from The Cleaner as he said:
“I’m jacked to all hell and Adam Cole is dead. Unless you’re like, into that sorta thing….”
Adam Cole might be alive and well on WWE NXT, but he’s dead on Being The Elite. This is something that Britt Baker still hasn’t brought up to her bosses just yet about how they murdered her boyfriend.
An indie wrestler with a history of preying on children was arrested yet again.
In February, 2018 NBC Bay Area news’ Damian Trujillo reported that indie wrestler Will Cuevas was arrested for sending harmful matter to seduce a child.
JUST IN: @SanJosePD arrests SF pro wrestler Will Cuevas for sending “harmful matter to seduce a minor”. Cuevas is a military veteran who wrestled for charity/veterans groups. He once appeared on @nbcbayarea ‘s Comunidad Del Valle: Video: From Youtube
This is a very disturbing story. Cuevas worked for APW, Big Time Wrestling, Pro Wrestling Revolution. He has not worked a recorded match since 2017 according to CageMatch.
Will Cuevas was arrested on January 14th once again for alleged criminal acts against a minor. He was charged with three sexually related crimes against children. You can see the documentation from his arrest below.
We are deeply saddened to hear about the passing of Steve Gillespie. He was only 56 years old and no details have been released concerning cause of death.
Gillespie was found dead in his car. His most notable run was as Dr. Hannibal in FMW teaming with Dr. Luther. Dave Meltzer noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that he heard Gillespie was “involved in the training of Chris Jericho and Lance Storm” as well.
Gillespie had a run with WWE as an enhancement talent. He also worked with Stampede wrestling later in his career during the 1980’s. He also held a few titles including the CRMW Mid-Heavyweight Title on two occasions and the CRMW Tag Team Titles three different times.
Our thoughts go out to everyone involved in this sad situation.

Bully Ray has a lot of responsibilities, but now he doesn’t have to worry about managing ROH’s Women’s Division anymore.
Squared Circle Sirens reports that Bully Ray is no longer in charge of the Women Of Honor division of ROH. He has been replaced by Jonathan Gresham.
It is reported that Jonathan Gresham took the position in early January. He plans on giving the division a face-lift as well.
Jonathan Gresham is also a wrestler for ROH. He helps train at the ROH Dojo in Baltimore as well.
Stephanie McMahon is very proud of WWE’s Women’s Division. She has been an advocate for the women of WWE and got to witness WrestleMania 35’s all-female main event with pride.
While speaking to WWE The Bump, Stephanie McMahon discussed how big of a deal it was for women to main even WrestleMania. She also revealed a discussion she had with the women in the main event before they performed at the show of shows.
Stephanie Mcmahon was quoted on the Bump “Thank you to every single woman who has ever stepped foot in what we call the squared circle,” McMahon graciously mentioned. “From any independent promotion, from anywhere, ever since the beginning of wrestling in the world. A huge thanks also goes to, of course, the way that we started training and recruiting our women, and that, of course, is my husband, Triple H, for hiring the first-ever female coach at the Performance Center. All the changes really started there. Then, you go to our fans, who really made the movement happen in the WWE with the #GiveDivasAChance.”
“Being a mom of three girls, and having them grow up in this business, I actually said to Becky Lynch, Ronda Rousey, and Charlotte Flair before their match at WrestleMania 35, I called them over and I thanked them because my three girls would be sitting in the front row later that night, watching our women as the main event, simply because that’s the way it is.”
“It wasn’t a match buried in the middle of the card. It wasn’t the same portrayal that I grew up with when I was younger. These women are being featured in the main event because they are the biggest stars, with the biggest storyline, and they were right where they deserved to be. Anybody can be anything they want to be. It’s so important, especially for girls and women to know that they can do anything they want to do, but they have to work hard and believe in themselves.”
We’ll have to see when women main event another WrestleMania event. Stephanie McMahon’s pride for how far the WWE Women’s Division probably won’t diminish much at all when it does happen.
WWE NXT held a battle royal match on Wednesday to help determine the #1 contender for the NXT Women’s Title. One notable name missing from that match was absent for a reason.
Fightful Select reports that Deonna Purrazzo was left out of the battle royal this week. Since her appearance on Raw the company is still trying to figure things out for her.
Deonna Purrazzo was kept out of the battle royal because her status with NXT is unclear after her Raw debut.
Chelsea Green appeared on Raw and Main Event. She ended up debuting on NXT alongside Robert Stone as her new manager. Deonna Purrazzo’s status remains unclear.
Brandi Rhodes planned on attending the Chris Jericho Cruise. That’s not happening now.
Rhodes tweeted out to let fans know that her passport was stolen tonight. This means she can’t go on the cruise since a passport is mandatory.
She had to leave early anyway because she’s speaking at the National Association of Television Program Executives convention. She just won’t be joining the Chris Jericho Cruise at all now.
I hope this doesn’t disappoint anyone, as I was having to leave early to deliver the keynote at NATPE next week (which I am insanely excited for!) but I will not be on the cruise at all this year. My passport was stolen this evening and I cannot attend. Be safe and have fun.
This is unfortunate because Brandi Rhodes will now have to get a new passport. Hopefully, her speech goes well at NATPE.
WWE really wanted to sign Jazzy Gabert, but now it appears that she is on to the next phase of her career.
Jazzy tweeted out: “Free Agent.” She also posted a picture of a reset button with the following caption:
Jazzy Gabert said on Instagram “I will press the RESET button!! I will be OFFLINE for a short while!
Need a change! Will change!
Body, mind and soul needs a break!! 10 days of fasting, including keeping off from social media, is the first step
Second one, which I look most forward too is changing my look!
And i change my profession… one came to an end and one is rising like a Phoenix. Watch out for it!
Thank you for being on this journey”.
Gabert was a standout in the Mae Young Classic. WWE wanted her, but they discovered an injury. She needed surgery, but once she was better WWE NXT UK signed her to a deal.
Jazzy Gabert also competed at the WWE NXT UK television taping today.
We’ll have to see what’s next for Jazzy Gabert. This could be an interesting time for her career.
Kairi Sane returned to action last night at a WWE house show. She was injured at WWE TLC in the main event match. Charlotte Flair had a lot to do with that injury, but she didn’t know the Pirate Princess was hurt during the match.
It wasn’t until later when Becky Lynch discovered Sane was hurt that she rolled Kairi Sane under the ring to protect her from further injury.
While speaking to Talk Sport, Charlotte Flair discussed how difficult that situation was. She didn’t know what was going on and there isn’t much time to discuss things in that environment.
“It didn’t in the moment. I guess, everyone—how they felt afterwards is what made them feel different. In the moment, it was more—it’s a tough spot. It’s the main event of a brutal pay-per-view and everyone has already seen Tables, Ladders and Chairs.”
“It’s feeding off the crowd, going with the crowd and feeding off their reactions. So I didn’t really think anything until after. Obviously Kairi was hurt, but in the match I’m just thinking ‘How do we keep people invested?’ with them already seeing so many different TLC, brutal matches. You’ve already seen a kendo stick, you’ve already seen a chair, you’ve seen a ladder, a table.”
“And the pressure of us delivering that, with a weird dynamic seeing me and Becky tag? To me, me and Becky tagging is more what I was thinking about. How does that come across and how our characters should be interacting on television. How do you go from this [indicates high level] to all of a sudden, ‘They’re tagging?’ We had the ‘Let’s fight the enemy because we have a common enemy’ [mentality].”
Thankfully, Kairi Sane is okay and is now wrestling again. The day after WWE TLC some fans were worried that things were very bad with The Pirate Princess.
Mike Kanellis asked for his WWE release, but the company didn’t give it to him. Now he is working on something in NXT.
We previously reported that Mike Kanellis returned to action at an NXT event last night. PW Insider reports that they were trying Mike Kanellis out in a new tag team with Tony Nese.
“Tony Nese and Mike Kanellis were teaming on this weekend’s WWE NXT live events as a test run for a potential team that could be used regularly on WWE NXT TV.”
Last night’s Melbourne, Florida event was a tryout. They defeated Nick Ogarelli and Mohamed. This did mark Kanellis’ first match since publicly asking for his WWE release.
